Medicom Toy has announced their ‘08 exhibition. It opens on Saturday June 21st @ Parco Factory in Shibuya (Tokyo). If you remember, Medicom revealed first glimpses of the KAWS Vader figure at last year’s show. We’re definitely curious to know what the toy giant will show off this year.

Muttpop is bringing Tequila back… Fresh from Jerry Frissen’s blog is a look at an early proto test of Tequila Classico. Sounds like they’ve definitely made tweaks to it since. Muttop also recently revealed the new tequila box — stunning, done in a fresh comic-inspired style.

Vinyl is global. Recently we featured the first vinyl store in Israel. Today we’re checking out Plastik — the only designer toy store + gallery in Brazil. Opened in ‘06, the store offers the latest vinyl in a stunning environment with atmosphere and personality to spare — clawfloot bathtubs as toy displays? Yes, please. They are also making waves in terms of promoting designer toys — their print campaign recently won a silver award at the CLIO 2008 awards.
It’s not all toys though… The Plastik gallery hosted Gary Baseman for a Munny art show in ‘07 and is currently showing the sweet stencil work of French artist Christian Guémy (C215).
