Brent Nolasco will be bringing along with him to SDCC a few of his customs to showcase at the Toyqube booth (#4837). These two bad boys are just a taste of what is to come from the mastermind of Mr. Nolasco. Brent also will be doing sketches at Toyqube, so be sure to bring your black books. More pictures of the Sharky and Kaniza after the jump.

Ups….Doktor A pembuat (Sopa Coin) juga Ikutan dalam merayakan ulang tahun toycube rupanya, ini justru agak membingungkan saya, kalau saya bandingkan dengan karyanya, tapi signature Doktor A sangat jelas tetap dipertahankan (menurut saya sedikit menyerupai signature Tim burton) sebagai identitas dari customizing dia, keep your good work bro, nice custom, Mr keith pon kelhatannya tersenyum melihat hasil karya para customizer dunia ini. saya sendiri pernah menayakan jurus membuat signature ke Doktor A langsung di sebuah forum Art Toys beberapa bulan lalu, and he said..”don’t stop to dreaming and drawing” (M..!)
Doktor A’s worked his steam punk magic on the Sharky vinyl figure created by Keith Poon. Part of creating interesting customs is seeing beyond the obvious and exploring novel uses of a familiar shape. For his custom Sharky, Dok does just this delivering a steam-powered metallic puppet performance vehicle.

Our exclusive previews of custom Sharkys for ToyQube’s 4th anniversary celebration continues with the first custom done by the Vinyl Toy Assassins (VTA for short) Brent Nolasco and Nemo.
I’ve always thought some nastiness lived underneath urban ‘rivers’ and now we have proof. This frightening ‘Creature from the Bronx River’ was created in a two step process – Nemo initially added several custom sculpted elements and then passed the figure off to Brent Nolasco who added additional sculpted details and applied a signature paint job. More pics after the jump.
If you’re in NYC, be sure to check out ToyQube’s 4th anniversary celebration going down this Friday (8.15.08) @ the swanky Sullivan Room.
