Joe Ledbetter will open Aerophobia, his first ever solo in Taiwan, this Friday, November 14th (opens at 1:30 PM, products go on sale @ 6 PM) at Paradise Toys in Taipei. As the title suggests, the show is all about the fear of flying. Whether you’re interested in art, toys, or maybe a Tee — Joe’s got you covered. No guarantees for curing your Aerophobia though. To tide you over until the show, we’ve got a nice sneak preview complete with pics (after the jump).
For the art collector, there will be a large number of drawings, several original paintings, and two prints — Taipei (11″ x 14″, ed. of 50, above ) and Ringo 101 (8″ x 6″, ed. of 35).
For the toy collector, Paradise will drop three show exclusives — matching Red n’ Black versions of Sluggonadon, Gamerita, and Hammerhead (runs of 50 each) from intheyellow. Paradise will also release 3 different Tees which we believe are limited to 50 pieces each.
Joe will be doing two signing sessions — one on Friday from 7:30 to 9:30 PM and the second on Saturday (15th) from 2 to 4 PM. This is a rare chance to meet Joe in Taiwan and a great opportunity to purchase original art. For more, check out the show info on Paradise’s blog.

Munky King posted a teaser flier of their upcoming Aztec style munky figure from Jesse Hernandez. Cool. We’ve had the good fortune of getting a closer look and we’re impressed – EXTREMELY detailed project. If you’ve been wondering where the wicked sculpts have gone — you’ll only be waiting just a bit longer.
Btw, don’t miss the Munky King x Vinyl Pulse VinylKings party going down tonight (8:30 – whenever) @ Bar Basic. It’s on 11th and J. Come on out. Surprises? Oh Yeah – here’s the big one. Jesse Hernandez is going to be live-painting in addition to the previously announced artists. Rad. Another? Fine… we’ve got a small (and green) surprise for 25 or so lucky souls.
