DUNNY, Kidrobot x Selfridges – London Pop Up Shop

Kidrobot is putting up shop in the UK. From January 22nd to February 21, 2009 Kidrobot will be operating a Pop Up shop in the Concept Store space @ Selfridges Oxford Street (400 Oxford) in

London. To celebrate the opening on January 22nd [6 to 8:30 PM], Kidrobot will release the Ye Olde English Dunny Series featuring 17 figures designed by top UK artists including Triclops, Jon Burgerman and TADO. Series artists will be on hand for the event to sign the new toys.

The toy debuts start with the Dunny series and keep on rolling throughout the month long run. On January 29th, Kidrobot will release a special edition of Kidrobot 16 – UK Punk featuring a Union Jack inspired paint job, a studded belt. This one is limited to 300 pieces for your collecting pleasure.

Then on February 5th, it’s Frank Kozik’s 1984 Smorkin Labbit. The 10” piece features a collage of Ronald Regan photos.

LUDWIG VAN - KOZIK

Ludwig Van is the latest in a long line of busts from Frank Kozik. This 14″ vinyl bust celebrates the connection between Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange and the legendary composer. As a nod to Alex’s, the primary character, love of listening to Beethoven the sculpture features his immediately recognizable stylized reverse eyelash.

Ultraviolence produced thirteen Ludwig Van editions — each limited to 50 pieces. Eleven are exclusives while the remaining two neon editions — blue and green, will be available at your favorite designer toy shop shortly. Since that’s a lot to keep track of we thought we’d help with pics of all thirteen including the six neon editions (above) as well as the remaining seven (after the jump). Dunny memang salah satu figure sempurna, bagi para designer toys dunia, Kid Robot mengeluarkan statement akan merilis Dunny 5 yang di desain oleh desainer desainer toys dan Lowbrow artist berpengalaman seperti Amanda Visell, Aya Kakeda, Clutter, Devilrobots, Dirty Donny, Frank Kozik, Huck Gee, JMGS//Jellymon, Jesse LeDoux, JK5, Junko Mizuno, Kathie Olivas, MAD, Mad Barbarians, MISHKA, Reach, Sneaky Raccoon, Steven Harrington, dan TOOF, Dunny memang ga ada habis habisnya, saya hanya bisa mengatakan its time to party…yiiipiiii…

And so it grows… Kidrobot has announced Dunny Series 5 will drop on September 4th. If you’ve been collecting vinyl for any time at all, we don’t have to tell you that Dunny created by Tristan Eaton is wildly popular. The release of the numbered Dunny series is typically a widely anticipated event. With a strong lineup, Series 5 should create a wave of anxiety and excitement. We’re looking forward to the steady reveal of info as I’m sure are all of you.

Series 5 will feature 19 designs + 600 inserted golden tickets redeemable for an ultra rare Huck Design. So who’s onboard the Dunny train? A few additional designs have been revealed to various degrees – Clutter showed off their pink pirate and MAD created a little stealthy teaser. And of course there were the four designs revealed about a month ago. All of this after the jump.
