Amanda Visell’s star is rising quickly — her paintings, production toys, and limited-edition wood/resin
pieces are all in high demand. What about customs ? They’re cool, but she doesn’t do them very often at all. That’s about to change with an exhibition of eight custom 8” Dunnys this Friday, September 5th 2008 at the Kidrobot Room @ CiRCA in Toronto. We got a chance to check them out and shoot them a little while back – and in our opinion they look great. To start off the short week (yes!), we’re giving you a sneak peek at a few of ‘em – more after the jump. In case you’re wondering, Amanda will not be there for the opening but she will be in Toronto in a month or so.

Munky King is showing a proto of their upcoming Snake Oil Pink Elephant from Amanda Visell. This should be great news for Amanda’s collectors – the first two pink elephant releases sold quickly and are hard to come by at retail.
Lot of information today man..Lol
Vinylpulse X Mytummytoys 2008

Today on Proto Monday we have a first look at the next resin figure from the deliriously clever Amanda Visell. Poopicorn is a unicorn that likes kids, ice cream and well… pooping. The toy is based on Amanda’s Birthday Wish painting from Nightmares and Dreams (2006) at DvA. This whimsical piece is her most complex limited-edition resin by far – with a total of six pieces (Poopicorn, two kids, ice cream, and poop x2). As a size reference, the two children riders are meant to be swappable with the child victim from Amanda’s previous Carnivorous Giraffe pieces. Poopicorn was sculpted by Julie B. of Pretty in Plastic. No word yet on release date.
