Munky King has just dropped the main Earth Edition of Nathan Jurevicius’s Monkey King figure. Based on an animation done awhile back for MTV Asia, Nathan’s design brings a slightly cartoony approach to the legendary mythical Chinese warrior/prankster. Staying true to the legend, Monkey King comes with a removable cloud base (nifty surface treatment), staff, and crown. The face design conveys a strong personality and works really well with this color edition.
The highlight feature of the figure is his dexterity — thanks to the bendy tail, he can wield his staff in numerous positions – out in front, above his head (2-handed) and partially behind his back (1 hand and tail). Great stuff.
Standing 8″ tall, Monkey King Earth edition is limited to 600 pieces, retails for a suggested $55 and is available at your favorite designer toy store. (source – vinylpulse)
